Who is Fusion?

Fusion is a party of parties set up by three progressive micro parties: Science, Secular, Pirates and three climate focused micro parties; Save the Planet, One Planet and Climate Justice after Labor and the Coalition joined together to degristered existing mirco parties and tripple their membership in early 2021.
Who is Adrian Whitehead?
Adrian has campaigned to reverse global warming since 2003. Adrian has lived in the seat of Copper since 2009 with his partner and young son. Adrian is known for founding one of the world's leading climate think tanks, Beyond Zero Emissions and running numerous successful environmental campaigns such as creating the Great Otway National Park and stopping the Nass Valley dam.
Why vote 1 Adrian Whitehead?
In parliament Adrian will speak the truth about the climate emergency. He will demand we reverse global warming to avoid a climate catastrophe arguing for the actual actions needed not the current lies and suicidal targets used to justify and support high emissions industries (coal, oil, gas, beef, dairy, land and destruction of native forests etc).
What we need to do?
To stop the unfolding climate disaster we MUST cool our planet now!
We can do this by
Only one party at this election is ready to implement these policies to stop the climate emergency, save the world's most vulnerable and give our kids a future - FUSION
We can do this by
- reducing our emissions (energy, transport, agriculture etc) to zero as soon as possible i.e. by 2030 or sooner
- drawdown past emissions as soon as possible to get below 300 CO2 ppm in our atmosphere
- cool the planet by actively reflecting sunlight away from the earth
Only one party at this election is ready to implement these policies to stop the climate emergency, save the world's most vulnerable and give our kids a future - FUSION
What to do with your preferences?
Vote 1 Adrian Whitehead and then give your preference to the progressive micro parties before any of the major parties. We need to break the dominance of the two party system in Australia.
Greens vs Labor
Saddly Cooper voters wont determine if we have a Liberal/National government or not.
Instead Cooper voters will need to choose which if the two likely winners, Labor or the Greens they wish to support.
On one hand the sitting Labor candidate Ged Karney is a strong internal Labor party advocate for stronger action on climate change, but this has not stopped Labor adopting the suicidal target net zero by 2050 and com while Dan Andrws state Labor continues to destroy old growth forest and expand offshore gas despite the climate emergeny.
On the other hand the Greens and candidate Celeste Liddle have much stronger climate policies and may hold the balance of power after the next election but it is unclear which issues they will negoatiate over.
In either case the Greens or Labor would not support a Liberal / National moniority coalition government.

Other issues
- FUSION has 9 other key policy areas, of particualr importance to me are:
- Ethical Governance: ending the growing corruption of our society and political systems.
- Fair + Inclusive Society, which includes housing for all, a good quality social security net and health system which would include dental services for those that need it.
- Ecological Restoration which includes stopping the continued destruction of our remaining forest and natural areas.
- Adrian supports the protection and preservation of Preston Market in its current form and calls on the State Government to purchase the market on behalf of the Preston community. You can support the local community campaign to Save Preston Market by visiting their website and signing the petition.
- I support saving the Harding St pedestrian bridge across the Merri Creek and instead building a smaller second bridge which would extend the existing path on the Eastern side directly north. You can support his campaign via the face book page.
- Get Darebin council to fix the constant overflowing public bins in some parks
- Stopping roundup and other herbicide use in our public spaces
Community involvement
- ran gardens and grounds at Bell Primary with Nada for three years.
- served on school council
- runs sword fighting classes for kids (see Practical Sword)
- campaigns tirelessly on reversing global warming
Contact Adrian if you wish to support his campaign.

Make a donation
Consequently Save the Planet through our new political party Fusoin can receive tax deductible donations. You can donate $1500 per year to a political party. Donations help cover the cost of registering candidates and running an election campaign.
Running as a candidate federally has become increasingly expensive as the major parties (who receive millions of dollars in election funding) seek to drive small parties and independents out of the political system.
Last election it cost $1000 to run in a lower house seat, now they have doubled it to $2000, money the major parties get back because they get over 4% of the vote in almost all seats they run in.
You can make a donation, big or small on my candidate page on the Fusion website.
